19. Computation, by the Auditor-General of the Pension, &c.

I certify that the annual pension according to the Rules of the Colonial Service, amounts to Seventy four dollars a year and I base my Certificate on the following calculation :-

Toolab Singh joined the Police Force on the 17 February 1874, and transferred to the Gas Department on the 23d May 1881. His service therefore extends over a period of twelve years, but deducting 9 months that he was absent without leave makes his resident service only 11 years. His average salary for the last 3 years or 36 months is $231 per annum.

His quarters are valued at $50 per annum.

He is therefore entitled to a pension of $74.93 being his total emoluments of $281.
