The following amendments were made in it: viz. in line 4, after the word "duty," by adding the words "or whose retirement may be proved to have been accelerated by such injuries"; in line 5, after the word "injury," by adding the words "and the date of its occurrence"; by cutting out the words "and Emoluments" in line 19, and last line; in line 7, instead of the Rule (so as to harmonize with the previous rules); in line 8, by reading "officer" for "sufferer" and "he retires after injury occurred"; in line 9, by reading "Then completed by him" for "completed by him at the time he retires"; in line 12, by reading "Officer affected" instead of "sufferer"; in line 16, by reading "Office" for "Sufferer"; and in line 19, by inserting "of the officer."
