I am not aware Sir G. Des Voeux is wrong in supposing that re-employment after being pensioned is ever treated as broken service; the Treasury practice is to this effect:
if the man on re-employment attains a higher salary, his former pension is cancelled, and the pensionable salary on his final salary subject to the usual conditions on his total length of service, as if the two periods had...
