Sheik Gaheim was transferred to the Victoria Gaol Service as a Turnkey on the 1st of December, 1879, and rejoined the Police on the 10th of May, 1881.
Turnkeys at the Gaol cannot, like Police, claim pensions until they have reached 55 years of age, and Sheik Faheim was therefore granted a pension.
