It involves the assumption that when W. Labouchere dictated that the Colony should adopt the Ordinance and when it has passed, and submitted to them, and amended by them, and sanctioned by the Queen - the whole thing was a nullity - no property passing to them as they asserted and denied.

Then again there is much force in the War Office view that although the land is offered to reclaim for them, they may with what they already have, do better than they are at the tea and certainly not (kindness) Wilding, the gift will do them no good. We might ask them if they have read General Edwardes' Report. I don't think it need be communicated with the Admiralty at present.
