No really good estimate can be made until the exact requirements of regard to scale are known; the extent of the Colony with the 500 Survey is the important factor, and it is believed that 1150 acres will be sufficient.

It must be remembered that the estimate is based on the assumption that Military labour only would be employed.

I must maintain my Survey opinion that when it has once been completed, the services of a surveyor competent to keep the plans correct to date, lay down the limits of property, &c, could be obtained for from £250 to £350 a year.
