I can only assure you that we exceedingly regret having committed a breach of the Bank's Ordinance, and that we faithfully undertake to rigidly observe the provisions contained in the new ordinance (No. 29 of 1889) in the future.
I append a list of the Branches and Agencies already open, and the names of a few places that we contemplate opening later, and for which we beg the sanction of the Treasury, in terms of clause 4 of Hongkong Ordinance No. 5 of 1866 and No. 29 of 1889.
