Office or Individual.

The Memorandum therein referred to,

3. I am also to observe with reference to par. 4 of the Memo that Lord Knutsford is not aware that any grant of Military Lands was ever made, but Lordship is of opinion that the W.O. has right of occupation, & that this question of reversimary rights is still undetermined.

The value of the land, therefore, has been accounted for.

The Ordinance of 1860 is a good root of title, and in this connection it is noted elsewhere that the H.K. W. Govt. Ord. gives a perpetual title to all landholders who were in occupation on or before April 30, 1860.

It is considered that the fee simple value should be less than the value by whatever may be found to be the value of the reversionary rights.

Received 10 JUN 90

Crown Land at Kennedy Roads

Copy of letter from F.O.C. requesting instructions to be given that the land is not to be disposed of by lease or sale until the necessary connections are made for the supply of Tytam Water to the troops.

(Minutes.)

Mr. Mead:

It appears to me that the water supply is entirely in the hands of the W.O., and delaying the water supply Agreement and connections with them is not feasible.

I do not see how we can write to the F.O. for proceeding with the disposal of the Kennedy Road Site.
