I am to add that a despatch has recently been received from the Officiating Governor of Hongkong reporting that in June last 400 Bonds of the Chinese 7% Loan deposited with the Colonial Secretary had been drawn for repayment, and that at the request of the Manager of the Bank in Hongkong, there 306 Bonds had accordingly been withdrawn & the Government had accepted in their place 262 China Merchant Navigation Company's Debenture Bonds of £100 each.
