In reply to Mr Meade's letter of the 16th instant,
I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to request that you will state to Lord Knutsford that, if the Colonial Government of Hong Kong is prepared to supply, at the time required by the Mint, the bullion for an increased consignment of $400,000 worth of subsidiary coin for October, the necessary arrangements can be made, the other three quarterly consignments to be reduced to $200,000.
