With reference to M/2728/90 relating to my appointment to the Office of Junior Marine Surveyor at Hongkong. I respectfully request, as it is not my intention to remove my Family to Hong Kong at present, that the Board will be pleased to arrange with the Colonial Office to pay to my wife Catherine Peebles, 52 Windsor Road, Tue Brook, Liverpool. monthly half pay at the rate of 4/2 per dollar until other arrangements have been made. This Concession will be very much esteemed.
