fit for service in the
Tropics and
I am to request you to
move the Board to
Cause Mr Peebles to be
medically examined by the
Doctor at Liverpool who
is usually employed by your Dept.
Lord Knutsford concurs
in the suggestion contained
in the last para of your
letter under reply, and
would be obliged if on
finding Mr Peebles, the state of his
health being found satisfactory,
could be instructed
to submit the application
of a suitable candidate
for the post of assistant
Surveyor, with as little
delay as possible, and
to report to this Dept
how soon he will be
prepared to start for
Hong Kong where his services are
urgently required.
Dem J.
