I have inserted details for furnishing the additions that have been made to Government House.
$6,000 for expenses connected with the Peninsula was to be taken next year. The $6,000 for the Trigonometrical Survey of the Island to which I have referred in my despatch No.202 of the 24th of June last.
$3,000 has been asked for the Printing and Binding of a new Edition of the Ordinances of this Colony, a work urgently needed.
Other Miscellaneous Services have been raised from $2,000 to $5,000. Of this $3,000 has been voted, should it be possible to carry out a scheme I have given much attention to, viz; that of finding some other place for the burial of Chinese than the limited area we possess in this Island.
