May I respectfully request permission to call the attention of Your Lordship to the following fact in connection with the Police Office, which I have at present the honour to hold.

In Your Lordship's despatch of the 19th June, 1890, dealing with the proposed increase of pay of the European Officers of the Police in this Colony, it is stated that an increase was allowed to Inspectors and to the 2nd and 3rd class Sergeants, but no mention is made of the Office of Chief Inspector.
