place of the house in England I hired
the "Villa Lucia" at Pokfulam in Hong Kong from 1st April
last - at a rent of $75 per
month up to 31 October last.
Early
in Spring my
wife and children return to England when I shall again have to take a house for them. When I resume
my
Gaol duties
next month I cannot
expect permission to live out of quarters and
according
to medical advice they cannot remain in the Gaol
quarters after the weather gets warm.
Therefore they will go home whether I am able to accompany them or not- when my wife first
came out to
Hong Kong her health, which had previously
been most robust gave way-
