1879. Received a personal allowance of £60 per annum (for injuries sustained).

1889. Received a personal allowance of £120 per annum on the ground that the work of his office had increased, and that his salary had not been increased for 8 years.

I G. Rocha, Accountant, General Post Office.

1875 Received a personal allowance of $180 per annum.

1878. Received a further personal allowance of $240 per annum in consequence of application to be allowed to draw the full pay of his Office (£400 per annum). Mr. Rocha pointed out that on the retirement of his predecessor in 1892 he was appointed to the vacant post but only allowed £312.10.0, the salary which was in 1874 raised to $500.

M. E. Machado, Clerk, General Post Office.

1887. Received a personal allowance of $240 per annum in consideration of 22 years service.

C. Osmund, 1st Clerk, Registrar General's Office.

1885. Was appointed on a salary of $200 plus $20 per month ($240 per annum), of which $20 being a personal allowance (these were the emoluments enjoyed by his predecessor).

1889. Received a further personal allowance.
