changes made in the salaries of the Public Officers in this Colony and to furnish Your Lordship with such explanation in regard thereto as may be necessary.
The more simple way of conveying information would, I think, be to refer successively to the different paragraphs of Your Lordship's despatch under consideration and this I shall proceed to do.
