PARTICULARS of the Office now vacant at the Hongkong Observatory.

The Assistant should be recommended by Royal Greenwich, and have knowledge of Astronomy in the British Isles.
Salary: $1800 per annum, and allowance for quarters: $360 per annum.
Other circumstances affecting the value of the office.
The Assistant must live in British accommodation.

Whether any, and if any, what provision is made from public funds for the passage from this country, elsewhere, of the persons sent out to fill the office.
