192400 will be enough for the Assistant Postmaster as to whom we are to hear above.
Wait for Estimates & see the whole scheme. We had better leave the question of these two salaries open till Estimates, & leave the matter for the present.
Similarly as to the pay of L.T.A. further. I would certainly support "Mr. May's & Mr. Smith's promotion, and allow the small increase to the Assistant Colonial Secretary's salary.

As to salary of P.M.G. it must be remembered that the post has #3840 with headquarters & that it has now been fixed at #3600 with quarters has been given. The pay was deliberately fixed at this rate on 1.7.27 & there is no reason to reconsider it.
& there is an actual rise next year. Cadets Supt. is fixed.
As to the pay to be assigned to the Ass. Col. Sec. & Ass. Reg. General, I assumed in minute on 1.7.27 that they would be raised 35 percent i.e. to about $4500, notwithstanding that the offices were (I think) created by the O.C.S. since 1875; but the discretion left to him in our general increases has need of salary, by proposing only to raise the former.
