I consider he deserves Special remuneration for his work in connection with the construction of the Praya.
I request you to inform Mr. Brown that the fact of his having discharged the duty of supervising the Praya reclamation works largely influenced me in selecting him for his present appointment,
and that some special remuneration for this work would be warranted to be taken into his Emolument as they were.
