Zo16. Barradas while Superintendent of the Money Order Office in the Post Office, I have the honour to

transmit for Your Lordship's information, printed copy of a letter from the acting Postmaster General with its enclosures,
and a Memorandum by the Local Auditor, shewing the amount of the defalcations and the position of the Money Order Office up to
30th June last.
The total sum embezzled by Barradas amounts to
$58,502.82.

I caused the statements which I enclose to be laid on the table of the Legislative Council,
as it was considered desirable that the public should be fully informed in respect of this case
