Officer to be appointed on behalf of the said Secretary of State with power to appoint Umpire or to appeal to the Supreme Court of Hongkong in case of difference and the decision of the Umpire or ... as the case may be shall be final and conclusive.
6. So long as the said Lot shall remain in the occupation of the Military or War Department, the rent shall be $... per annum, payable half-yearly on the 24th June & 25th December to the Colonial Treasury.
7. All reservations and exceptions of stone and minerals and all covenants and stipulations by Lessees with reference to drainage, repairs, ... and nuisance inserted in Crown Leases of land in Victoria in the said Colony of Hongkong shall be deemed and accepted by the said Secretary of State as part of the reservations and exceptions and stipulations of the Terms herein comprised.
8. All powers and duties conferred upon the Surveyor General by such Crown Leases or by any Ordinance in force for the time being within the said Colony of Hongkong are hereby conferred upon the said Surveyor General.
