proposed to be given up by the War Department because it was no longer required, a reference to such a record would show whether the Colonial Government had or had not ceded to the War Department in the interval between the first proposal of the land no longer required and proposed to be given up, and the date of its being relinquished, land of equal, less, or greater value, and the land in question should revert to the Colony accordingly either unconditionally or conditionally, as the case might be.
