6. I request you to inform me whether the Extra emolument ($74400 as Ass. Master at the Police School) set down in the Blue Book for 1889 to Mr. Jameson de has been drawn by him under the scheme introduced this year, a double check that according to Leave Certif.
No part of this Emolument was drawn while he was on leave. Unless the work of teaching at the Police School is carried on outside the regular hours of attendance at the College, and I do not think the Master should receive an extra salary for such work.
7. In reply to the 6th par. of Mr. Fleming's desp. under acknowledgment, I have to refer you to my desp. 72 of 23rd April last in which it was laid down.
