Colonial Secretary's letter No. 2788, dated the 20th instant, I have the

honour to state that I am acquainted

with the amount of the honorarium, because it has already been

tendered to me

by the promoters of the Railway, but as those gentlemen

are averse to communicating that His Excellency will be pleased
