Legislative Council on the nomination of the Chamber of Commerce, has tendered his resignation owing to his departure from the Colony.
I have, on the nomination of the Chamber of Commerce, appointed provisionally and subject to Her Majesty's pleasure, Mr Thomas Henderson Whitehead, Manager of the Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China, to fill the vacancy thus caused, and beg to submit the appointment for Her Majesty's approval.
