Shortly afterwards a local Firm of Architects, Messrs Danby, Leigh and Orange, all of whom having at one time been in the Government employ, and are more or less acquainted with the rules of the Service, wrote to Government saying that they were credibly informed that Mr. Boulton's excursion into the interior was in connection with the proposed Canton and Kowloon Railway, and taking exception to his being allowed to undertake private work.
