Regarding my several offices. duties in these
pet Valuer. I would humbly refer Your Lordship to the result of my labours in that office viz:- and increase of some $160,000 in revenue more fully explained to the Colony, and more fully explained in a Press notice vide "Hong Kong Daily Press" of 15 November 1888. These duties necessitating close application at night and on Sundays, a clerical staff not being allowed
2. at the earnest request of the late Surveyor General, he was, vide despatch, to return to the Public Works Department, and to undertake the duties of Assistant Engineer, on 5th January
