Deane, The Acting Captain Superintendent of Police Major General Gordon, Mr Brown, the Surveyor General, and Mr Chater, Unofficial Member of the Legislative Council, to consider, in conjunction with myself, what should be done.
We visited the Gaol on several occasions, and after our last visit in the mouth of August, Mr Brown undertook to draw up a report on certain proposed alterations which he submitted to me a few days ago.
I will forward to Your Lordship a copy of this report, from which Your Lordship will see that Mr Brown has prepared estimates for three distinct schemes.
