for employment unless he shall have gained at least one third of the total number of marks in each subject.

Subject to the foregoing paragraph,

10. The candidate who has gained the highest number of marks will receive the appointment subject to probation for a period of six months, but the Governor may appoint any other competitor who may have shewn special fitness for the duties of the post requiring to be filled.

11. Probationers giving satisfaction will be further permanently employed as the Government may determine.

12. In case of misconduct or incapacity a probationer may at any time be dismissed from further employment by the Governor.
