invite attention to the circumstances, that having been a resident in the Colony when appointed the passage money which would have been paid for myself and wife, had my appointment been made in England has been saved to the Colonial Treasury.
Under these circumstances I am satisfied that my request has only to be laid before you to receive sanction, especially so as the cost of a passage from Canada to the Colony only amounts to about £60-. This is comparatively a small sum, but it is one of considerable importance to me, and hence my craving for troubling your Lordship with this matter.
