The creation of a lighthouse must at all times be a gratifying undertaking, but I venture to think that there will be few lighthouses which, in stormy or hazy weather, prove of greater service to navigation than the one in question placed as it will be at the extremity of the many little Islands which are clustered around the Southern approach to Hong Kong.
