ceased to be Official Administrator and the question arose as to what should be done under those circumstances,

It has hitherto been usual to grant Letters of Administration addressed not only to the officer in his administrative capacity, but also mentioning his name; it occasionally happened that the person to whom such Letters of Administration were granted ceased to be the person in whom the Estate became invested.
