If the Ordinance which has been lately enacted effects any real good, such will be a matter for congratulation, but I doubt it.

I venture to think that the time is yet far distant when what may be our ideas of civilization or morality will be accepted as such by those whose training, education, and even laws, may have imbued them with notions of a totally different description.
