He informs Justice Wise and himself that both Mr. consider that it would not be convenient for Registrar to have duties to perform which would involve regular considerable absence from the Registry, and that it would be further objectionable for the Registrar to become a member of the Executive Council, which would moreover give him official precedence of the Puisne Judge.
6. Mr. Wodehouse is one of the Police Magistrates, in addition to which he is Coroner and Superintendent of the Fire Brigade. He would probably have more time to attend to the work of Treasurer than either of the other two applicants, and his appointment would
