of Mr James Stevenson to be Inspector of Nuisances for the Howloon District.

In my despatch No.351 of this date I have reported Mr Stevenson's transfer to the Civil Hospital subject to Your Lordship's approval.

I had appointed Mr. J. Wylie, Wardmaster the Lunatic Asylum, to succeed Mr. Stevenson as Inspector of Nuisances, but I regret to have to report that he committed suicide a few days ago.
4.
I shall report in due course the appointments which have thus become necessary.
