Mr. Goodman mentions that it may be necessary for him to apply to Your Lordship for an extension. To grant such or not it will of course be for Your Lordship to decide, but I do not anticipate any objection as far as the Colony is concerned.
I have appointed Mr. E. J. Ackroyd to act as Attorney General during Mr. Goodman's absence, and, after consultation with the Acting Chief Justice, I have nominated Mr. Bruce Shepherd, Deputy Land Officer, to act as Registrar of the Supreme Court, and Mr. C. F. A. Sangster, one of the Deputy Registrars of the Supreme Court, to act as Official Assignee, Official Trustee, and Registrar of Companies.
I have the honour to be, My Lord, Your Lordship's Most Obedient Humble servant,
S. Heming
