After considerable correspondence had taken place between the Government, Dr Doberek, and Mr Silva on the subject of Dr Doberck's allegation, I was advised by the Attorney General that although Mr da Silva's appointment had not yet been reported to Your Lordship, and, being at a salary of over $2100 per annum, might therefore be considered as provisional only, it would be the safer course to proceed against him in the formal manner laid down for cases of suspension. Dr Doberck having accordingly been requested to specify his charges of incompetence against Mr Silva.
