I lately noticed that a question had been asked in the House of Commons regarding Sunday work in the Colony and that a reply was given to the effect that Your Lordship would consult Sir G. W. Des Voeux in the matter.
In these circumstances, I am to ask Your Lordship to express an opinion on this, by any means, no unimportant subject, pending any conclusion that may be come to in its regard. Your Lordship may not think it desirable that such a provision as is proposed should be inserted in a regularly drawn up agreement.
