subject to Your Lordship's approval, abolished the rank of Chinese Turnkey and propose to appoint

additional 2nd Class Assistant Turnkey instead at a salary of $30 a month.
As a salary of $36
was attached to the Office
of
Chinese Turnkey, the change will result in a saving to the Colony of
$6
a month.
