I conclude responsibility for Field Work, and which in a general sense would imply, my Certificate was you of the 14th February and I? Mr. March Cast expected that in Conjunction with office of Executive Engineer I would undertake the duties connected with Land sales and the general supervision of office.
I would request that this application be submitted to His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government with a view to my salary being adjusted so as to correspond with my emolument set forth in the above table, viz: $3000 per annum, inasmuch as the allowances and apparatus already occupied by me and which I draw do not correspond favourably with my present emolument.

I think the minutes already written embody nearly all I have to say on this subject. I may, however, add that I can see no objection to the designation I already proposed for Mr. Malach, viz: "Executive Engineer in charge of Land Survey" and I understand Mr. Malach would still be introduced with a view of getting over the difficulty as to First, Second and Third Executive Engineers. I repeat the recommendation I have already made that the Executive Engineers should all rank alike, although I see no objection to their names being inserted in the official lists according to seniority.
