I have the honour to
inform you
that having
examined
the Table or List of Officers for the
organisation of this Department
prepared to accompany despatch No 94 of 1890 to the Secretary of State
instant, I beg to
state that I accept the post of Second Executive Engineer and Land
Surveyor conditionally only, and
pending the decision of the Secretary
of State re
my application for the post of Assistant Surveyor General,
last April, and further that the
duties of Land Surveyor attached
to my
new title
may
include ... I believe,
Surveyor General.
