The concluding words of Col. Re... 127 admit of the grant of leave of absence to a Government Chaplain on account of his health abroad. It requires his having first made adequate and satisfactory provision for the discharge of his duties. I am unable to sanction provision from public funds for a passage for Mr. Jennings's journey. However, half salary will be available during his period of half-pay leave.
