conjointly by the Head Master and by the Inspector of

Schools. But there is no

question

that

a

certain

amount of friction has

existed between these two officers, the Head Master being desirous of conducting the examinations uncontrolled, the Inspector of Schools being unwilling to be deprived of such interference

in regard to the examinations and inspection of the College as he considers necessary.
