Present : J.F. Holliday, Geo. Noble, E. Lakin, J. R. Whitehead, John Andrew, Captain MacCallum, (H.K. Art.) Mr. Woolley, (H.R. Art.) Mr. Pereira, Mr. J. J. Francis (Convenor).

Mr. J. F. Holliday was called to the chair, Mr. Francis read a letter received by him that day from

H.E. Major General Edward,

suggesting the formation of a Machine Gun

Corps.

After

discussion it was

unanimously agreed: -

That a Corps of Volunteers ought to be formed for the Defence of

Hong Kong

in addition to the Corps of

Artillery
