I have the honour to ack. the receipt of your despatch No 125 of the 28th May on the subject of the proposed changes in the staff in the police force.
2. I have nothing to add to my despatch no. 18 of the 15th of May, in which it was suggested that Mr. Horspool should be appointed acting deputy superintendent.
I report that you will see from the proposal with regard to Captain Hastings, that his proposal cannot now be entertained.
