As regards one of the Misses selected (on 22/8/06) has applied again (see 10/10) that she has a brother in Hongkong. Though I placed her, myself, as third, not second, when Miss Mann was chosen, I am inclined to think that she might be accepted. There was little to choose between them, & we don't know that No. 2 is still free. We might send copy of this desp. to Agents telling them to make the point as repayment quite clear in future, & to complete agreement with Miss Ward?

The girl, who has a home in Strathcory, is a Wesleyan. She was despatched by Wm des Voeux Ahmedabad. She is unmarried at present.

Lids Ward states that this is number three of the candidates submitted by the London Agents is a Wesleyan.
Miss Tauherren a specially strong candidate, when I was here and well-equipped.
Years have passed, Ward has been headmistress for the last four years.
The fact that she has a brother is regarded specially in her favour.
The scale in her favour is Whitelands College.
