Drainage Scheme without the assistance of Mr Cooper, and the Surveyor General being unable to spare Mr Cooper until the arrival of some officer to replace him, I thought it desirable to telegraph to you on the 10th instant as follows:-

On the 13th instant I received the following reply:-
Translation: In answer to your telegram of 10th April - See my despatch of 195 March both cattl[e]show Civil Engineers sent to replace Cooper.
