letter from Mr Brewer, announcing the death of his brother Mr J.J. Brewer, and suggesting the grant of a compassionate allowance to the children of the latter, in view of the fact (alleged by the writer) that Mr Brewer received injuries in the performance of his duty which led eventually to his death.
Every enquiry has been made as to the accident to which Mr. G. Brewer refers, but no information on the subject can be obtained.
