would suggest, however,

that if possible the agreement

made

for five years, frequent changes in the Nursing Staff of a hospital being

most inconvenient.

The

proposed Staff numbers give

six instead of five as at present. This the Superintendent thinks necessary owing

to the increased number of admissions to the Hospital. The increasing popularity

of the Private Wards is evidenced by the fact that during the past year the accommodation of this class was found

quite insufficient for the demands made upon it.

The scheme, if adopted, will entail an

increased

expenditure of One thousand and sixty-eight dollars in the first year, and

$60.
